Revolutionizing a spacious bathroom oasis.
We embarked on an extensive remodel of a large bathroom. This project was more than just a makeover; it was a complete reimagining of the space. Our task was to strip the old bathroom to its bare bones, rework the plumbing, and reconstruct it into something both luxurious and functional.
The original bathroom, while spacious, had become outdated. Its features, including a garden tub and standard shower, no longer met the homeowner’s needs or aesthetic preferences. They envisioned a modern, sleek bathroom that maximized both comfort and style.
Our journey began with a complete demolition, taking the bathroom down to the studs. We moved the plumbing to accommodate the new layout, which included enlarging the shower space. A custom bench was added inside the shower, complemented by a stylish frameless glass enclosure. The shower was outfitted with new Grohe Grohtherm 2-function faucets, featuring both a rainshower and handshower.
For the walls, we chose striking 2’x2′ large black tiles, while the floor received a custom pattern with elegant black inlays. The old garden tub was replaced with a sleek freestanding bathtub, adding to the room’s modern appeal. To complete the transformation, we installed a cozy towel warmer and updated the lighting to enhance the ambiance.
Crucial to this renovation was ensuring the bathroom’s longevity and resistance to moisture. We employed the Schluter shower system for comprehensive waterproofing and installed Schluter’s Ditra uncoupling membrane for floor stability.
The transformed bathroom emerged as a paragon of modern design and comfort. The enlarged shower with its custom bench and frameless enclosure became a focal point of luxury. The black wall tiles and intricately patterned floor created a bold, sophisticated look, while the freestanding bathtub offered a touch of timeless elegance. The addition of the towel warmer and new lighting fixtures provided both functionality and a warm, inviting atmosphere. This large bathroom remodel went beyond a simple update; it created a space that resonated with contemporary luxury and style, a true oasis within the home.
